- 1990 से विकसित हुई file hierarchy रखता है, और CSC तथा फ़िनलैंड के volunteers द्वारा संचालित और maintained है
- Linux server पर चलता है, जिसमें dual 20-core processors, 786GB memory, 80+TB NetApp NFS storage, और Funet backbone से 2 x 25Gbit/s connections हैं
