  • लगता है Google की केंद्रीय सेवा Chemist डाउन हो गई है
    "Chemist checks the project status, activation status, abuse status, billing status, service status, location restrictions, VPC Service Controls, SuperQuota, and other policies."
    इसलिए "visibility check (of the API) failed", "cannot load policy" जैसी errors और सेवाओं पर व्यापक असर समझ में आता है

    • सिर्फ GCP ही नहीं, कई internet services भी डाउन थीं
      संभव है कि यह Chemist सेवा खास तौर पर external dependencies से प्रभावित हुई हो, और failure अंदरूनी GCP network services तक फैल गया हो
    • Notifications के लिए Expo relay का इस्तेमाल कर रहा हूँ; इस Google context में क्या FCM का भी साथ में प्रभावित होना संभव है, यह सोच रहा हूँ

  • Claude Sonnet 4(Cursor) और Gemini Pro में बहुत errors आ रही हैं

  • यह अजीब है कि इस outage की वजह से RCS messaging तक down हो गई। यह दिखाता है कि technology या infrastructure design कितना कमजोर है

    • RCS असल में बस instant messaging ही नहीं है? इसके down होने में हैरानी क्यों है, समझ नहीं आता
    • तो इसलिए आज मुझे अपने parents के dog की photo नहीं मिली थी
    • अरे, तो क्या इसलिए थोड़ी देर पहले मेरी RCS chat fail हुई थी?!

  • Firebase authentication down है और कई apps पर असर पड़ रहा है। Discord और Slack groups में भी इसी तरह की confirmations की बाढ़ आ रही है
