IBM AS/400 Advanced Series (1994)
- 1990 के शुरुआती वर्षों में पुराने लगने वाले image के कारण market share खो रही AS/400 series के लिए design innovation project चलाया गया
- काले exterior, नाटकीय air intakes और सरल लेकिन शक्तिशाली form के जरिए उस समय के पारंपरिक ग्रे-tone server design से अलग पहचान बनाई गई
- launch के बाद sales में double-digit growth दर्ज हुई और ‘पुरानी तकनीक’ वाली छवि से बाहर निकला
- design से F117 stealth fighter जैसी innovation-centric छवि जुड़ी
IBM AS/400 Advanced Series Security Keystick (1994)
- पारंपरिक metal keylock-based control panel की cost और static electricity समस्या को हल करने के लिए नया security keystick विकसित किया गया
- asymmetrical key insertion के जरिए restricted functions तक पहुंच संभव हुई
- पहले की तुलना में cost reduction और ESD समस्या का उन्मूलन हासिल हुआ
IBM ThinkPad TrackPoint Caps (1997)
- मौजूदा ‘cat tongue’ cap की असुविधा को सुधारने के लिए TrackPoint caps के 3 प्रकार (soft rim, soft dome, cat tongue) पेश किए गए
- उपयोगकर्ताओं को अधिक विकल्प मिले और लंबे समय तक सभी ThinkPad में ये standard रूप से दिए गए

IBM Netfinity 7000 (1997)

IBM ThinkPad ThinkLight (1998)
- विमान के reading light से प्रेरित laptop keyboard lighting solution
- ऊपरी bezel में white LED लगाकर keyboard पर रोशनी डाली गई

IBM NetVista X41 (2000)
- 1981 के IBM PC के बाद लगभग अपरिवर्तित desktop design को all-in-one रूप में फिर से गढ़ा गया
